Head and Neck Elastography:

The elastography is a relatively new ultrasound method, which allows the measurement of the elasticity and hardness of tissues.

Elastography takes advantage of the fact that malignant tissues are harder than benign or normal ones, and as a result can give us very important information about the severity of a tumor. The application of elastography is most effective for superficial organs, such as the thyroid, cervical lymph nodesthe parotid gland and the submandibular gland.

Proper evaluation of elastographic imaging requires very good training in ultrasound and good knowledge of anatomy, especially in the complex region of the head and neck.

The clinic has a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner with 4th generation Elastography capability, Virtual Touch Tissue imaging Quantification Shear Wave Elastography (VTIQ).

Personally, I am one of the few Doctors who have extensive clinical experience and research involvement in the subject. Pubmed
